Understanding the Student Journey to Success Symposium

Within the Australian higher Education market, forward-thinking Universities focus heavily on not only the student experience but also, student welfare.

Student welfare is key to retaining students and ensuring each student can progress from accepting their offer to completing exams and beyond. The question has always been, how do Universities achieve this and, what are best practise?

After two years of planning and postponements (due to lockdowns and general COVID mayhem), the Understanding the Student Journey to Success Symposium conference took place from 25^th to 27^th October at the Sofitel Noosa. The conference focussed on bringing university staff together in a practical setting to share their thoughts on how they engage with students to maximise their educational experience and to explore initiatives that positively impact student success and retention.

As a leading business partner to over 90% of Australian Universities, Hague Australia attended the conference as a Gold Partner not only to showcase the products, solutions, and services they offer but also to take part in the forum, listen and learn how to improve solutions based on student wellbeing.

On days two and three, the Symposium program was organised according to four phases of the first-year student journey. Each of the four phases offered a case study or panel discussion. Delegates then had the chance to get hands-on in breakout sessions with their peers.

The inaugural Understanding the Student Journey to Success Symposium conference was an absolute success with over ninety delegates at the conference and over two hundred online.
